Franchises

Do you want to own your own renewable energy business?  Do you want a rewarding opportunity to add renewable energy products and services to your business?  The minimum costs of establishing a franchise are: 

  • $75,000 franchise fee
  • $75,000 in working capital
  • $100,000 in tools and equipment
  • $200,000 in inventory                      
          $450,000 total

The costs above could vary depending on the market, location, showroom size, labour costs and equipment.  The entire $450,000 must be unencumbered (cash or liquid assets).  The remaining amount may be financed through chartered banks or other lending institutions if the candidate meets applicable borrowing requirements.  

Included in the franchise cost are the following:
  • 4 week training program (excluding travel and hotel costs)
  • the use of all Second Source Power Manuals
  • right to use trademarks and trade names
  • support from Head Office personnel
Not included in the cost of the franchise:
  • travel and hotel costs
  • the use of all Second Source Power Manuals
  • all equipment, tools, furniture, display equipment and signage
  • rent, real estate or property costs
  • insurance, legal costs, salaries and all other ongoing operational costs
